Meet Lorraine, Shalita's mother. Born and raised in New Orleans, she loves God and her family and is exceptionally gifted at cooking and baking. Mom prepared these candies as a neighborhood treat when I was a child, and I still consult her today, as she is knowledgeable in all things cooking and baking. Her savory "Nawlins" dishes and sweet treats, in my opinion, cannot be matched.
